Dr Jelena Vlacic-Zischke graduated with her Bachelor of Dental Science from The University of Queensland with first class honours. Jelena has since been working in private practice in Brisbane for many years and now in Ipswich at Grange Road Dental Group for the last six years.
Jelena also completed her PhD studies with The University of Queensland. She was the recipient of the highly respected National Health and Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) Postgraduate Scholarship and was awarded her Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in early 2007 following outstanding international reviews. Her work has been published in the Australian Dental Journal, British Dental Journal, Journal of Oral Laser Applications, Biomaterials Journal, as well as Book chapters and presented at international and national conferences.
In addition to her above commitments Jelena has also taught students at the University of Queensland and has also held a a Post-Doctoral research position, in the field of Dental Implants, with the Centre for Medicine and Oral Health, Griffith University. Jelena is very passionate about her dentistry and offers the very best of care to her patients. All patients and especially children enjoy coming to see Jelena.
Outside of dentistry Jelena has a love for languages. She is fluent in two and is at present learning her third language. Together with her husband, Dr Andrew Zischke, Jelena loves to spend time in the company of her family and two children.
